How do I buy something from The Courtauld’s shop?

You can explore our product categories and themed collections or search specifically for a product name, description or artist. Once you’ve found something you’d like to buy, simply click ‘add to basket’. You can continue shopping, adding more items to your basket as you go, and when ready to purchase, click on the basket icon on the top right of your screen. Here you will be able to review the products in your basket and proceed to the checkout, payment and delivery sections.

 

Which payment methods do you accept for online orders?

We accept the majority of major credit and debit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Delta and American Express. You can also use PayPal.

 

Do I have to create an account to make a purchase?

No, not at all — you will be able to checkout as a guest if you’d prefer, although we will still need your email address to send through order details.

If you do checkout as a guest you will be given the option of creating an account after your purchase. Creating an account will keep track of your order history, as well as making things a little quicker when you order from us again.

 

How do I know if my order has gone through?

Alongside your order summary appearing on the webpage, once your order has gone through, you will also receive an email confirmation on the address you submitted. These are usually instant, but can take up to an hour to come through. If you don’t receive yours, check your ‘spam’ folder — if there’s nothing there either, you can contact our customer services team on shop@courtauld.ac.uk for help.

 

I have an account, but I’ve forgotten my password. What do I do?

Resetting your password is a quick and easy process. Simply click here and follow the instructions given.

 

I’m a Friend. Do I get a discount in the shop?

Yes, all Friends can enjoy a 10% discount in the shop, both in store and online. To use your discount online, enter the promotional code sent to you in your Friends e-newsletter, at the checkout.  Please note this discount cannot be applied to limited editions, sale, gift vouchers and Friends membership, nor in conjunction with any other offers.

 

Where do I enter a promotional code?

These can be entered at the Checkout stage of your order, in the promotional code box. Only one code can be used per transaction. 

 

Is everything online available in store too?

The shop at The Courtauld Gallery will open in November 2021. For the most part, everything online will also be available in store - although there are some exclusive products only available through our webshop., and a wider range of colours and sizes available online.

 

Can I buy online and collect in store?

We will be offering a Click and collect service once our gallery shop opens in November. Click and Collect can be selected from the Delivery option in your Shopping Basket. Orders will be ready to collect within 1-3 days. Once we are fully up and running, orders will be ready much sooner. Orders can be collected from the shop in the lower ground floor of The Courtauld. Please simply speak to a member of the shop team and have your order number or order confirmation email.

 

The product I want to buy is unavailable. Will it come back in stock?

Apart from collectable or special edition pieces, which have strictly limited stock numbers, we will always try to keep the rest of our range in stock as much as possible. Due to many of our products being sourced from small, independent businesses, it may take a little longer for certain items to become available again. If something you would like to buy is unavailable, we do offer a Pre-order service. The ability to pre-order a product will be shown on the product page.

 

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

We aim to despatch all orders within 5-7 days. All orders are sent using reliable services including Royal Mail and DPD. Depending on the size of your order, an average delivery time is between 7-10 days.

If your order has still not arrived after 2 weeks, please contact shop@courtauld.ac.uk and we will follow it up for you as quickly as possible.

 

Do you ship outside of the UK?

Yes, we offer international delivery around the world - although obviously this may add a little longer to the time it takes to receive your order. Visit our delivery information page for a full breakdown of international delivery and charges.

 

I’ve made a mistake on my order details. What can I do?

If you spot a mistake or would like to change your delivery address, contact shop@courtauld.ac.uk as soon as possible after making your order and we will try our best to amend this for you. Unfortunately there’s nothing we can do once your order has already been dispatched.

Do you offer returns or exchanges on orders?

Of course. We want every customer to be completed happy with their purchase from the Courtauld shop, but appreciate that now and then people may change their minds. You’ll find instructions for returning your items on the receipt slip inside your order, or else visit our refund and returns page for more information.

 

Where do your products come from?

Our range has been carefully chosen to reflect the look, feel and philosophy of the Courtauld Gallery. While many of our products are exclusive, we also stock select products from independent businesses, particularly those based in the UK.

 

I’m an independent maker. How can I get my products sold in the Courtauld shop?
