Kam Creates x The Courtauld
We asked jewellery designer Kam to create some Monet inspired pieces to celebrate Monet and London: Views of the Thames.
"I was so excited when The Courtauld reached out and asked me to create a special set of colour ways inspired by Monet’s paintings of the Thames, as the sky greatly inspires me."
“I love its endless and ever-changing nature, especially when it meets the water, giving a sense of freedom. As a Londoner, I often find myself overwhelmed by the city's chaos, but every time I cross the Thames, I always take a moment to appreciate the views."
"I particularly love the magical feeling from 'Sunlight in the Fog' so I chose some of the warmer tones Monet used, which also reflects my favourite time of day, golden hour."
"I also wanted to capture the different shades of blue from the sky and river to express calmness and freedom, essential feelings to embrace in a big city like London."
